Back up your baking journal

Muffin Lab keeps your experiments and resized photos in your browser on this device. Hosting the app does not add a cloud account or synchronize your journal to another device.

Open Backup and choose Download full backup after important batches. The JSON file contains your experiments, ingredient changes, baking stages, photos, ratings and notes. Keep a copy outside this browser.

To move from the downloaded HTML app to this website, export a full backup from the downloaded app. Open the hosted app, choose Backup, then Import a backup. Review the import confirmation before adding the experiments. The import merges batches and keeps conflicting versions as separate copies.

Clearing browser data or using private browsing can remove saved work. Keep your original photo files separately, because the journal resizes images for display.
